The AMCHAM Myanmar Annual General Meeting - end of January
Normally held at the end of January each year, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is both a business and festive occasion marking the close of the AMCHAM year. This is the official business meeting of the year for the entire membership. Agenda for the AGM normally includes the presentation of financial statements; committee reports; an address from the President; address from the Executive Director; Q+A from the members; and voting of new Governors to the Board. The U.S. Ambassador traditionally graces this occasion and helps us celebrate the incoming and outgoing Governors.
The AMCHAM Myanmar Corporate Social Responsibility Awards (ACE Awards) - November (Thanksgiving)
AMCHAM Myanmar launched its first annual CSR Excellence Recognition Program in August 2015. The program recognizes member companies that create long-term economic and social benefits in Myanmar communities.
To qualify for ACE recognition, a company’s CSR program must receive high-marks in five categories:
1. Overall Integration of CSR Programming and Value Creation
2. Sustainability of Programming
3. Measurability of Results and Reporting
4. Communications of CSR Programming
In addition to the award, selected companies are recognized at the AMCHAM Thanksgiving luncheon in November, listed on the AMCHAM website, acknowledged with a press release, and mentioned in AMCHAM publications.
