YOUTH PATHWAYS HUB LAUNCH MARKS A NEW CHAPTER IN WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

On July 11, AMCHAM Myanmar officially launched the Youth Pathways Hub, a workforce development initiative under its Development and Sustainability Committee (DASC) that aims to support young people in their transition from education to employment through mentorship, career guidance, skills development, and industry engagement.

 

The launch brought together students, AMCHAM member companies, educators, and development partners for an introduction to the program, featuring remarks from a representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on youth employability and workforce development. Students also had the opportunity to connect with employers during a career fair, while participating mentors met with prospective mentees as part of the mentor-mentee pairing process.

 

Following the launch and mentor interviews, we are pleased to announce the successful mentor-mentee matches for the pilot program. Over the coming months, 20 participating students will be mentored by 13 experienced professionals from AMCHAM member companies, who will provide guidance, share industry insights, and support their transition from education to employment. Mentors and mentees will receive individual confirmation emails with further details.
