⚠️WATCH OUT! SOCIAL ENGINEERING AND PHISHING ARE THE BIGGEST CYBER THREATS IN MYANMAR! | MCM2024
What’s Social Engineering? It’s when cybercriminals trick you into trusting them to steal your sensitive info, like passwords and bank details. Phishing is the most common form of SE—using fake emails or messages that sound urgent or tempting to get you to click.
Here’s What to Look Out For:
1️⃣ Email Phishing: These are fake emails that look like they’re from trusted companies. Always check the sender's address and spelling, and don’t click on any links or attachments you’re not sure about!
2️⃣ Spear Phishing: This is when scammers target specific recipients with personalized attacks. Make sure you know who’s sending the email, especially if it feels off.
3️⃣ Voice Phishing: This is when scammers call you pretending to be from a legit organization. Remember, real businesses won’t ask for personal info or passwords over the phone!
4️⃣ Smishing (SMS Phishing): These are fake texts saying you’ve won something or pushing you to click on suspicious links. If you get a strange text, contact the company directly to check.
Stay alert and keep yourself and your loved ones safe from cybercrimes! 🔐✨
