New Myanmar Companies Law & Foreign Ownership Briefing

On July 24, AMCHAM Legal Committee Co-Chair and Partner of ThanLwin Legal, Mariano Suarez, updated the Committee members on the new Myanmar Companies Law at AMCHAM office. The briefing highlighted the critical developments of the law including the allowance of foreign ownership in local companies up to 35%. The event was followed by AMCHAM Legal Committee Monthly Meeting. The Legal Committee provides an effective forum to discuss current legal matters related to doing business in Myanmar, as well as U.S. legal developments affecting U.S. companies doing business in Myanmar.
