Meeting with Overseas Private Investment Corporation

On April 3, AMCHAM members warmly welcomed Eric Jones, Chief of Staff, and Brian Churchill, White House Fellow, of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) at Melia Yangon. Mr. Jones provided an overview of the upcoming changes as OPIC combines with the USAID�s Development Credit Authority to form the new U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. The USDFC will offer new and innovative financial products and give the U.S. more flexibility to support investments and projects in emerging markets such as Myanmar. The presentation was followed by an open Q&A session and a closed-door meeting with the AMCHAM Board of Governors and Committee Chairs.
