A BRIEFING ON THE CRISIS IN MYANMAR BY AMCHAM MYANMAR

On May 18, AMCHAM Myanmar hosted a special panel presentation designed for our colleagues at AMCHAM Thailand and AMCHAM Singapore to hear from business leaders on the ground about the political crisis and its impact on business operations. This discussion covered the U.S. government response to the coup, security and operational concerns, and the evolving landscape of the new sanctions regimes from the U.S., UK, and EU.
The opening remark was given by Mr. John Breidenstine, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs & ASEAN Regional Senior Commercial Officer at U.S. Embassy Bangkok and we thank him for his participation in our special event.
