AMCHAM Statement on Myanmar Elections The AMCHAM Myanmar Chapter would like to congratulate the people of Myanmar on exercising their right to vote in the general elections on November 8. These elections represent a historic milestone on Myanmar�s road to democracy and the impressive turnout testifies to the people�s commitment to reform and the continued democratization of the country. We hope the peaceful elections will give way to a peaceful transition to a new government so the country can continue the reform process, strengthen its institutions, and build a better business environment for the benefit of the people of Myanmar. ###
