AMCHAM MYANMAR APPOINTS MS. MYAT PHYU THE AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Board of Governors of AMCHAM Myanmar is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Myat Phyu The as Executive Director, effective April 6, 2026.

Myat brings over a decade of leadership experience in Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability across corporate and development sectors in Myanmar and the ASEAN region. She joins the Chamber from Coca-Cola Myanmar, where she served as Director of Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability (PACS). In this role, she led high-impact stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy efforts, including advancing circular economy initiatives and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks. Her work has been recognized for driving meaningful collaboration between business, government, and communities in complex and evolving markets.

With a strong track record in navigating regulatory landscapes, building cross-sector partnerships, and aligning business strategy with sustainable development priorities, Myat brings a forward-looking and inclusive leadership approach to the Chamber.

As Executive Director, Myat will be based in Yangon and will lead the overall management and strategic direction of AMCHAM Myanmar. She will work closely with the Board and members to strengthen the Chamber’s role as a trusted platform for engagement, partnership, and business leadership, while delivering enhanced value to its diverse membership.
