AMCHAM Myanmar Announces Departure of Executive Director Tatum Albertine and Search for Executive Director
After three successful years with AMCHAM Myanmar, our Executive Director Tatum Albertine is stepping down from her role in April 2023. Tatum is responsible for the record growth of AMCHAM Myanmar since taking over in 2019, growing the number of U.S. firms in the Chamber by over 40%. Our members will remember her for taking the Chamber through the virtual transformation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and strengthening ties with the U.S. government to an all-time high during the 2021 political crisis in Myanmar. Tatum also grew the Chamber in 2022 with the addition of a full-time policy staff to directly support member’s policy issues.
On her departure Tatum notes, “It has been the greatest honor, thrill, and pleasure of my life to serve as the Executive Director of AMCHAM Myanmar. AMCHAM Myanmar is an incredible community filled with extraordinary members, leaders, businesses, and now, some of my life-long friends. I accepted this position since I love Myanmar – the country, its people, and I believe that U.S. business can play a very important role in Myanmar. AMCHAM Myanmar plays a vital role in representing the interests of the U.S. and wider business community concerns and I am extremely proud of the work we accomplished. I believe in AMCHAM and I will continue cheering on our members."
We remain grateful to Tatum for her exceptional leadership of AMCHAM during some of Myanmar’s most significant changes in the last decade. A farewell reception for Tatum will be hosted in Bangkok, Thailand on March 30. Details will be shared on the AMCHAM website for all members.
