AMCHAM Meeting with MONREC & MOEE

The AMCHAM Myanmar Energy and Natural Resources Committee, under the leadership of U.S. Ambassador to Myanmar, H.E. Scot Marciel, met with H.E. U Ohn Winn, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC) and H.E. U Win Khaing, Minister of Electricity and Energy (MOEE) in Nay Pyi Taw on June 7.
The meetings discussed ways to promote Myanmar�s energy and natural resources sectors and attract U.S. investments in the country. The meetings also fostered further collaboration, engagement and continuous dialogues between the two parties.
AMCHAM Energy & Natural Resources Committee�The AMCHAM Energy & Natural Resources Committee is composed of Myanmar-based American Chamber of Commerce members with interests in the Myanmar energy and natural resources business sectors. The Committee was formed in order to help develop and nurture a business environment in Myanmar that is efficient, transparent, community-oriented and environmentally responsible. The Committee works to accomplish this goal through a combination of direct stakeholder outreach, policy advocacy and educational initiatives.�
