The International School Yangon (ISY) has been part of the Yangon community for more than 70 years. Located in Yangon’s Golden Valley, ISY is a nonprofit, international school serving students from early childhood through Grade 12.
At ISY, we believe that young people flourish when they are known, valued, challenged, and supported. Our rigorous international curriculum provides a strong academic foundation. Each student’s pathway is shaped around their individual strengths, interests, and aspirations and most students choose to continue into our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB Diploma) in Grades 11 and 12. As the first school in Myanmar to offer the IB Diploma, ISY combines high academic expectations with a deep commitment to the growth of the whole person.
ISY is Myanmar’s most internationally diverse learning community where differences are valued, relationships matter, and everyone is expected and supported to become a better version of themselves. Through learning, service, and meaningful connections with the wider community, we aim to develop compassionate global citizens who are prepared not simply to succeed, but to make a positive difference in the world.
