Since its founding in 1974, Jhpiego has been a recognized leader in developing the capacity of health workers globally, including in Myanmar. In more than 50 countries around the world, Jhpiego provides technical leadership in strengthening national service delivery and technical capacity in developing countries in the areas of maternal, newborn and child health; family planning and reproductive health; HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis; malaria; infection prevention and control; and cervical cancer.
Jhpiego empowers front-line health workers by designing and implementing effective, low-cost, hands-on solutions that strengthen the delivery of health care services, following the household-to-hospital continuum of care. We partner with organizations from the community to the national levels, building sustainable, local capacity through advocacy, policy development, human resources for health and quality and performance improvement approaches.
