Job Description

  • Must be able to lead the local as well as international procurement teams & delegate tasks accordingly to have greater productivity and efficiency in delivering procurement results.
  • Must be able to coach the team members with great leadership skill to have better performance and have necessary skill sets to deliver quality results on time.
  • Must be able to search vendors, suppliers, external providers of services/products in order to be able to deliver Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Machineries and Spare parts, Chemicals, Reference Materials & Laboratory consumable items, etc., in timely manner required for business by using sound & cost-effective strategies.
  • Must be able to do the vendor survey & vendor proposal to management by discussing with concerned user departments to make sure to get benefits in cost, quality, supply capacity, on time delivery, etc.
  • Must also assist in vendor qualification process along with the concerned departments to mitigate the risk of choosing wrong vendor, low quality materials.
  • Must be able to develop healthy relation with suppliers to make sure supply continuity of materials and managing conflicts.
  • Must proactively develop alternate vendors for the strategic materials by cooperating with the concerned departments to make sure the continuity of the supplied capacity by developing risk assessment procedure and action plan to prevent the materials shortage.
  • Must be able to coordinate with the Legal team for contract negotiation and management with the suppliers with the least or zero impact of financial risk to the company with favorable terms and conditions.
  • Must be able to update seamlessly the supplier’s database up to date, measure supplier’s performance evaluation.
  • Must be able to coordinate with the Regulatory Department in order to get Import Recommendation from the Myanmar FDA or other regulatory bodies on time.
  • Must be able to coordinate with the Import Department in applying import license application by providing full & complete required and relevant materials information to get import license on time.
  • Must be able to coordinate with Logistic & Finance Department not only delivering materials but also making sure remittance to supplier on time. On Top, must be able to assist in the process of opening LC, DP or DA account between Supplier and Logistic and Finance Departments.
  • Must be able to coordinate with Warehouse Department regarding issuance of MRN, MDN, GRN, etc., once materials arrived at Warehouse.
  • Must be able to conduct cost analysis, setting benchmarks for improvement to have continuous procurement saving and cost avoidance every month.
  • Updating and communicating with management in seamless manner to have a full picture and idea from management point of view about the strategic materials supply and shortage risk affecting especially production of factory’s blockbuster products.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/Pharma
  • An internationally recognized supply chain management diploma
  • Minimum 6 years work experience in both local and international procurement in Pharma industry
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a supervisory position
  • Experience working in cGMP certified environment
  • Experience managing vendors 
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Myanmar fluently
