Scot Marciel, U.S. Ambassador to Myanmar, will update AMCHAM members on the current Myanmar economic and political environment and the latest U.S. policy towards the country. Prior to his return to Washington, he served as Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia. He was also Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, where he was responsible for relations with Southeast Asia, and as Ambassador for ASEAN Affairs. Ambassador Marciel was confirmed as the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of the Union of Burma on February 9, 2016 by the U.S. Senate. Click here for more information.
