His practice is focused on M&A transactions and joint ventures, and on general corporate law and other Myanmar-based regulatory and compliance issues. He joins the Firm following a six-year stint with Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd., where he was most recently the Managing Counsel of Group Legal. In this role, he led a 20-member legal and corporate secretarial team that supported corporate functions and business operations across the group's various segments including real estate, automotive, agriculture, healthcare, tourism and consumer products.Ivy TanIvy is an associate in the Tax, Trade and Wealth Management Practice Group of Wong & Partners (a member firm of Baker McKenzie). Ivy advises clients on a broad range of trade and customs matters, including cross border supply chain strategies, customs valuation and classification, use of free trade agreements and special customs areas, import and export restrictions, export control and sanction, trade remedies, customs audit and controversies, and other domestic regulatory issues. Ivy also advises on direct and indirect tax issues and is experienced in tax and supply chain planning. Ivy previously worked at Baker & McKenzie’s Hong Kong office.Choon Yit ChiangChoon is an associate in the Tax, Trade and Wealth Management Practice Group of Wong & Partners (a member firm of Baker McKenzie). In addition to his experience in advising on direct and indirect tax issues, his practice also encompasses trade and customs matters, such as trade remedies, supply chain strategies, import and export restrictions, and other regulatory issues.
