Free Expoloration trip to Thilawa for AMCHAM Myanmar members!
Join us on a trip to the Thilawa Special Economic Zone trip, the first and
biggest economic zone in Myanmar with 2,500 hectares (6,200 acres) being
developed in Kyauktan and Thanlyin Townships, and 25 kilometers (16 miles)
south of Yangon. The first phase of the SEZ is slated to complete in shortly.
With the assistance of UMFCCI, we will be visiting the major firms operating at
the economic zone on February 17 (Registration starts at 8 am at Room Chatrium
III, Chatrium Royal Lake Hotel). Additionally, we will be getting an overview
of the economic zone, presented by UMFCCI on the site.
AMCHAM Myanmar members are invited to participate on the Thilawa trip free of
charge. (Please note, if you register to attend the trip, and do not show or
provide a 48 hour cancellation notice, we will charge a no-show fee of US$ 25).
