Myanmar Media Industry and Broadcasting Bill Update

Booking has been closed! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Myanmar is engaged in an unprecedented expansion of its television industry with the Ministry of Information and MRTV allocating five new TV channels, a planned switchover from analog to digital transmission technology and a broadcast licensing auction expected next year. Chris Tun, of Tun Group Associates, is facilitating the ongoing channel selection and will describe the process, its background and legal and regulatory frameworks and obstacles including the draft Broadcasting Law, new proposals on intellectual property safeguards and new industry media trends and opportunities. AMCHAM members are invited to come listen to Chris' take on Myanmar's media industry and new developments in store for media production, distribution and marketing.
