"You are warmly invited to the upcoming 2nd Stakeholders Forum on Labour Law Reform and Institutional Capacity Building. The forum will be held from 29 - 30 September 2016 at the Sedona Hotel, Yangon.The Government of Myanmar together with the ILO and the Governments of the United States of America, Japan, Denmark and the European Union are jointly implementing the Initiative on Labour Law Reform and Institutional Capacity Building to improve labour rights and practices in Myanmar.The Stakeholders Forum creates an important opportunity to bring together domestic and international stakeholders to discuss and support labour issues in Myanmar, identify priority challenges, share global experiences and support efforts to address the gaps.The Forum will provide an opportunity to:1) share with the international business and labour community the Government's plan for reform, in particular on labour law reform;2) receive inputs and feedback on the labour law reform planning process;3) gain insights on how to address particular labour challenges based on international experiences;4) enhance consultation and transparency among the tripartite constituents and broader partners;5) foster constructive relationships among domestic and international stakeholders; and6) inform progress made in labour law reform and institutional capacity building.Click here for program details.Contact Khin Ei Mon at before September 22"
