The new Companies Law will dramatically change the mergers and acquisitions landscape in Myanmar. Allowing foreign investors to hold 35% equity interest in Myanmar companies and with the introduction of preference shares, foreign investors will have a number of structuring options to choose from when investing in Myanmar.
