Committee Objective
The CSR Committee’s mission is "to serve as the rallying point and resource center for AMCHAM members who are either developing or improving their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies." Historically, this committee raised scholarship funds through our Charitee Golf Tournament. 35 scholarships of $500 each have been awarded to outstanding University of Yangon and Institute of Economics students from low-income families. The committee also works to recognize AMCHAM members’ CSR best practices, highlighting the linkages between business operations and society while conducting business in a way that creates both economic and social value.
