On May 10, AMCHAM Myanmar CSR & Scholarship Committee awarded twenty-eight local students who are pursuing undergraduate degrees at Yangon University and Yangon Institute of Economics. The meeting was hosted in Yangon University’s Science Building.
This special ceremony was presided over by the Chamber’s President Rehan Khan, Vice President Mark Hardcastle, Scholarship Committee Co-chair Dan Davis, and several professors of Yangon University. We thank Rehan Khan, the Chamber President and Dan Davis, Scholarship Committee Co-chair who delivered words of encouragement to the students. The program also included ice-breaking games and stories sharing by the students on how the AMCHAM Scholarship Program helps them in their studies.
AMCHAM CSR & Scholarship Committee has been funding underprivileged students since 2014. The committee also arranges various activities from factory visits, internship program, computer training to speaker talks.
